Jason Kelce’s Wife, Kylie, Got him a Surprise Gift for his Retirement
Jason Kelce officially announced his retirement from the NFL last month after 13 seasons. He has been thinking about his retirement for the last couple of seasons. Finally, he decided to quit the game and look forward to the next phase of his life. But his wife, Kylie Kelce, planned a retirement gift for him two years back.
Kylie, Jason’s proud wife, shared a video of the gift on her official Instagram account on April 22. The video shows the wooden model of the Lincoln Financial Stadium of the Philadelphia Eagles, which engraved Jason Kelce’s name with his uniform number 62. Also, it details his 13-year career, including six First Team All-Pro Wins, Seven Pro Bowl Championships, and the Eagles’ 2018 Super Bowl Victory.
Kylie revealed that Dana Theobald, a Georgia-based artist and woodworker, designed the wooden replica. Kylie praised Dana Theobald in that video, stating that she messaged her two years ago, and Dana came up with that beautiful custom design.
In another video clip, Kylie looked closer at the model and thanked Dana Theobald for her patience and the perfect retirement gift.
Jason announced his retirement in March, and during a press conference, he told the reporters that he was lucky to have played his entire career for the Eagles. He was selected for the team in the sixth round of the NFL draft in 2011 and earned six All-Pro nods and seven Pro Bowl selections in his career.
Jason and Kylie met in 2014 and tied the knot four years later. They have three daughters: Wyatt, Elliotte, and Bennett. The couple celebrated their sixth wedding anniversary just after his retirement announcement.
During the press conference at Lincoln Financial, Jason said that he had enjoyed the best years of his career with Kylie by his side. He also added that she helped him bring the best out of him through love, support, honesty, and intelligence.
Jason Kelse announced his retirement from the NFL, but it doesn’t mean he left the team forever. In a conversation with The Philadelphia Inquirer, he said that he didn’t know what would happen to him but knew that he still wanted to be involved in the organization.
Jason Kelce and his brother started a podcast in 2022, and it became one of the top podcasts among the viewers. The value of the podcast is approximately 100 million. When they started the podcast, it was meant to be only during the NFL season. However, due to the podcast’s popularity, the siblings also set for the off-seasons.
Jason Kelce is retired from the team, so he can focus on the podcast more. According to some reports, CBS, NBC, and ESPN are trying to get Kelce as a commentator for their networks.
