Kid Cudi Cancels Tour After Breaking his Foot During the Performance in Coachella
Kid Kudi announced on Wednesday that he canceled his Insano: Engage The Rage World Tour after he broke his leg at Coachella. He shared a post on Instagram that he had to undergo surgery due to the fracture and that it would take a long time to recover. He also added that they had to cancel the tour and could focus on getting better.
He continued in the post that the injury was much more severe than he thought. Those who bought the ticket would get a full refund. He also informed that they will be back date of their new tour as soon as possible. He ended the post by stating how upset he was to cancel the tour.
The injury happened in his last-minute performance in front of the crowd at the Sahara stage in Coachella. As per the reports, he had only one song left for his performance, “Pursuit of Happiness.”
The rapper jumped down on the stage while performing his song “Memories.” His foot gets caught in a wire, causing an awkward fall on his left foot. After that, he was carried out by security backstage and taken away in the ambulance.
After the incident, he confirmed on X that he had broken his foot at the show. He also thanked the fans for their concern and well wishes. Many Cudi fans and followers showered him with love on social media. He assured his fans that his mother and fiance, Lola Satore, are with him and taking care of him.
Kid Cudi last performed at Coachella in 2019; at that time, he performed, along with his album partner Kanya West, the song “Kids See Ghosts.” His ninth album, Insano, was released on January 12, 2024, and he announced that it would be his last contractual album with Republic.
Travis Scott, Lil Yachty, Pharrell William, and ASAP Rocky made a guest appearance on the album. Cudi began rapping in 2003 at the end of his school years, and he moved to New York to pursue his music career. His debut album was “Man on the Moon: The End of Day,” released in 2009. The album’s third single, “Pursuit of Happiness,” was certified platinum by RIAA.
