Eminem released the official trailer of his upcoming album on April 26, 2024, and the visuals shocked the entire hip-hop community, including Eminem’s fans and fellow artists.
The highly anticipated album is set to be released this summer. However, Eminem has yet to reveal the exact release date or other information. Still, the trailer revealed that Eminem killed one of the most ‘infamous and notorious’ split personalities, Slim Shady.
The recently aired trailer was presented as a crime news report, with the host mentioning, ‘Through his complex and oft-criticized tongue-twisting rhymes, the antihero known as Slim Shady has had no shortages of the enemy.’ He added, ‘Rude lyrics and controversial antics may have ultimately led to his demise.’
In addition, we have seen 50 Cent in the official trailer. He describes Slim Shady with mock fear and names him a psychopath. Eminem also concludes with more power and conviction, ‘I knew it was only a matter of time for Slim.’

What Led to The Demise of Eminem’s Alter Ego ‘Slim Shady’?
Eminem launched his alter ego, Slim Shady, in 1997 and released his second project, ‘The Slim Shady EP.’ This EP has helped the rapper gain stardom and pursue further projects. Not only that, but it has also helped him sign deals with record labels with Still Dre music producer and rapper Dr. Dre.
However, Slim Shady is known as an antihero, and controversies have always surrounded his violent and sociopathic criminal personality. Eminem has released several tracks where his Slim Shady version took over the track and became commercial hits, ‘Without Me,’ ‘Just Lose,’ and ‘The Real Slim Shady’ are part of it.
Earlier, 50 Cent, Dr. Dre, and Snoop Dog attended Jimmy Kimmel’s show, and the host asked about Eminem’s other projects. With the answer, Dr. Dre announced that ‘Eminem is working on his album, and it will come out this summer.’ He added, ‘I talked to him, and he said it was OK to break the exclusive news on the show.’

Currently (April 2024), we have only the official trailer of The Death of Slim Shady Album. However, 50 Cent has already shared that Eminem will release his 20th studio album. The exact release date has yet to be made public.
Everyone is eager to listen to the tracks, and one of the finest musicians and rappers will be featured on the album, so there will be a mix of horror and excitement.
