The Fantastic Four is a superhero team created by Stan Lee and Jack Kirby, which was published by Marvel Comics. The notorious villain, Galactus, first appeared in the comics in 1966. The character featured a god-like figure wearing a horned purple helmet, and he gain energy by consuming living planets.
Galactus previously appeared in the 2007 film Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surface as a villain. Usually, the character appears in the comic as a humanoid figure, but in that film, it is shown as a planet-consuming cosmic cloud. So, The Fantastic Four is his official introduction to the MCU. However, there are no details about the plot of the upcoming movie.
The film will be directed by Matt Shakman, who has been nominated two times for Emmy Awards for the series WandaVision. He also directed episodes for several series, including Game of Thrones, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and Fargo.
The movie’s screenplay was written by Jeff Kaplan, Eric Pearson, Ian Springer, and Josh Friedman. WandaVision’s writer, Peter Cameron, is also part of the project’s script. Kevin Feige, the Marvel Studios president, will produce the film along with Grant Curtis and Nick Pepin. The production of Fantastic Four is planned to start in mid-summer in England and is scheduled to release in the theatres on July 25, 2025.
Ineson recently appeared in the film The First Omen, which is currently running in the theatre. Last year, he played the role of General Andrews in Gareth Edward’s The Creator.
