Johnny Wactor, who is famous for his role in the soap opera General Hospital, died in a fatal shooting during a suspected theft incident at the age of 37. The incident took place early in the morning on Saturday in Los Angeles.

Wactor’s mother, Scarlett Wactor, confirmed the sad news of her son’s death. According to reports, Wactor and his co-worker finished their work at a rooftop bar and headed to their cars around 3.30 am, where they saw three men trying to remove a catalytic converter from his car. Upon Wactor’s approach, one of the men ignited a fire, prompting his immediate hospitalization.

Scarlett Wactor expressed her grief by stating, “What I’d like for everybody to know is that they took a great human being. It is leaving a very large hole in me and his brother’s lives.”

She told ABC News, “There are not enough words to tell what a beautiful soul he was. He was a kind, loving son and brother; he lived life to the fullest. He set goals and went after them.

Wactor’s agent, David Shaul, remembered him by stating, “spectacular human being.” He added, “Not just a talented actor who was committed to his craft but a real moral example to everyone who knew him.”

He also added that Wactor always tried to do his best in his career and was “a real moral example to everyone” for “hard work, tenacity, and a never-give-up attitude.”

He continued, “Our time with Johnny was a privilege we would wish on everyone,” and further added, “After over a decade together, he will leave a hole in our hearts forever.”
