The title of the third installment of Knives Out was announced just last week. Now, as per the reports, some big names have been added to the next sequel to the movie. Josh O’Connor and Cailee Spaeny will join in Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery.

The details regarding their character are currently under wraps. The title of the sequel was revealed by Netflix via the TUDUM site. After the title was announced, Johnson posted a statement on social media. He said, “I love everything about whodunnits, but one of the things I love most is how malleable the genre is.”

He also added, “There’s a whole tonal spectrum from Carr to Christie, and getting to explore that range is one of the most exciting things about making Benoit Blanc movies.”

He expressed his excitement by sharing the title and continued that the production of the sequel will start soon.

Ryan Johson will write and direct the forthcoming sequel. He will also produce the film along with Ram Bergman. The plot details of the movie are currently unknown. We expect the filming to commence next month, with a projected release date of 2025. The list of additional cast members is likely to be announced in the coming days.

The sequel, Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, premiered on Netflix in 2022 after a limited theatrical release. It also became a success on the platform with its clever storytelling and strong performances by the cast.
