Jennifer Lopez Cancels ‘This Is Me…Live’ Tour to Spend Time with Her Family and Friends

Jennifer Lopez made an unexpected decision regarding her summer plans. The pop star canceled her ‘This Is Me…Live’ tour to spend time with her family, children, and friends.

JLo issued a statement to her fans on her OntheJLo website explaining why she canceled her tour plan. She wrote, “I am completely heartsick and devastated about letting you down.”

She continued, “Please know that I wouldn’t do this if I didn’t feel that it was absolutely necessary.” She also promised her fans that she “will make it up to you and we will all be together again.” She concluded the note by saying, “I love you all so much. Until next time…”

The representative for Live Nation stated that JLo canceled the tour, citing that she was “taking time off to be with her children, family and close friends.”

Those who purchased tickets via Ticketmaster will receive a refund automatically, while those who purchased through a third party will need to go to the point of purchase.

The singer was set to start her musical tour from June to August to promote her latest album, ‘This Is Me…Now’, which was released in February. The album was about her journey to rekindle her romance with Ben Affleck.

A representative for the singer said that it was a difficult decision for JLo, and she felt sorry for her fans. There have been speculations that the tour was canceled due to low ticket sales. But her representative denied the rumors and said, “This decision was NOT made around ticket sales; the tour was actually doing well in most key cities and there had been a good uptick.”

The decision regarding the tour’s cancellation came after the separation rumors with Ben Affleck. The couple was reportedly living separately, as Affleck moved out of their mansion in Beverly Hills. Though they were spotted together on Thursday for Affleck’s daughter Violet’s graduation party.

A source told Page Six about the couple that they were going to end their marriage after their relationship didn’t work out well, stating, “He feels like the last two years was just a fever dream, and he’s come to his senses now and understands there is just no way this is going to work.”

In the documentary The Greatest Love Story Never Told, Affleck talked about his relationship with Jennifer. He said that they were “two people with different kinds of approaches trying to learn to compromise.”

Earlier this month, during the promotion of her new Netflix movie Atlas, she shut down the question regarding their split rumors. She said, “You know better than that.”
