Joanna Gaines Shares a Post to Chip Gaines on Their 21st Wedding Anniversary Celebration

Joanna and Chiip Gain celebrated their 21st wedding anniversary. On Saturday, Joanna shared a post on her Instagram account to pay tribute to her husband. Joanna posted two pictures of them standing on the street, one from their recent trip to New York City and the other a throwback from 21 years ago.

She wrote in the caption, “Twenty One Years. You’ve always had a way of taking a thought or a quiet dream I’ve tucked away, and helped me step into it and make it a reality.”

She continued, “What a journey, a wild and crazy (yet somehow peaceful) ride. So grateful to God for this life we get to share together.”

Joanna also shares an Instagram story in which she reflects that her husband’s style has not changed much over the years. She posted a side-by-side photo of her husband from 2003 and 2024 and wrote, “Did not plan this–notice he has the same style @ariatinternational boots on, the same style @gap jeans, & white shirt,” and continued, And his stance is exactly the same. All that’s missing is his bracelet from Cancun.”

Chip and Joanna first met in 2001, at her dad’s auto shop in Waco, Texas. In the Magnolia Journal summer 2020 issue, she recalled her early relationship with Chip. She wrote, “It wasn’t love at first sight for Chip and me. For one thing, I was typically attracted to guys who were more on the quiet side.”

The couple engaged in 2002 after a year of dating, and they married in Waco, Texas, in May 2003. A few months after their marriage, they started their first venture, Magnolia Market, in Waco. The couple welcomed their first son, Drake, in 2005. They expanded their family by becoming the parents of Ella, Duke, Emmie, and Crew.

They starred in the reality show Fixer Upper in May 2013, which was about home design and renovation, as they owned a home renovation and decoration business. It became the top unscripted show on HGTV. It ran for five seasons, and the final episode aired in 2018. In 2021, the show rebooted as Fixer Upper: Welcome, followed by the release of two new seasons, Fixer Upper: The Castle and Fixer Upper: The Hotel, in 2022 and 2023, respectively.

Their renovation series is turning 10, and the couple is celebrating its anniversary with a new spin-off, Fixer Upper: The Lakehouse, which will premiere on June 2 on Magnolia Network and HGTV.
