One Piece Season 2 Plot Synopsis – Spoilers Ahead

The series follows Monkey D. Luffy’s journey to find the treasure of legendary pirate Gol D. Rogers, called One Piece, and to become ‘King of the Pirates.’ When Luffy was a kid, he ate devil fruit, which gave him the power to stretch his body like rubber.

Years after Gold Roger’s death, he dreamed of becoming the Pirate King by finding One Piece hidden in the Grand Line. He sets out on the journey alone, but he is soon joined by Nami, Usopp, Zoro, and Sanji, who are known as the Straw Hat Pirates. Then they realized they were not the only ones searching for the treasure.

Straw Hats arrived in Nami’s village at the end of the first season. Nami had been trying to buy her village from Arlong to get freedom, and she secretly gathered money for that. But Arlong found out about it and bribed a corrupt Marine who discovered her cash. Luffy assured her he would help her, and when Arlong attacked the village, the Straw Hats fought back and set her village free.

The Straw Hats team up together and set their mission work towards their dreams. The final scene of season 1 showed a mysterious figure with a smoking cigarette looking at the wanted poster of Luffy and burning it.

The second season of the series will finish the story of Loguetown Arc and continue the Arabasta Saga. The ending of the first season teased Captain Smoker’s entry, so Straw Hats has to face a battle with him.
