Hierarchy Season 2 Plot Synopsis – Spoilers Ahead

The series revolves around the most prestigious school in South Korea, Jooshin High School. Only a few wealthy students can get admission to that school. The students include Jung Jae-i, the queen of Jooshin; Kim Ri-an, the heir of Jooshin Group; Yoon He-ra, the daughter of an international trading company founder; and Lee Woo-jin, who belongs to a powerful political family.

Kang Ha transferred to Jooshin School with a scholarship. The rich students always bully the scholarship students to get what they want. Kang Ra also faced many difficulties there. But later, it was revealed that Kang Ha had a motive, as the bullying in Jooshin school killed his brother, and the staff from there covered it.

Ka Ha investigates the death of his brother and eventually falls in love with Jae-i, who previously had a relationship with Ri-an. As the story unfolds, viewers can witness more jealousy and romance.

At the end of the series, it was revealed that Ji-soo, one of the teachers in the school who had a secret relationship with Woo-jin, killed In-han. When In-han ran from the bullying, he witnessed the sexual relationship between Woo-jin and Ji-soo, and to keep Ji-soo’s prestige, she hit In-han with her car.

The series ended with a post-credit scene, which shows a student who has been murdered in the classroom and was found by his classmates. Then we saw Kang Ha walking in the corridor with something on his phone with a smirk. Then the scene shifted to Ri-an, who was looking at the dead body, getting an anonymous message from his phone, which was written, “You look shaken up, Kim Ri-an.” This will set up a plot for the second season.

If Hierarchy returns for a second season, most of the cast members from the first season are expected to reprise their roles.

  • Roh Jeong-eui as Jung Jae-i

Jung Jae-i is one of the main characters in the series. She is the eldest daughter of the Jaeyul Group, and when she returns from the US, she joins Jooshin High School and becomes a queen of there.

Kang Ha joins the Jooshin after getting a scholarship and faces a lot of bullying from the rich students. However, he gets the transfer with the intention of investigating his brother’s death, In-han.

  • Kim Jae-won as Kim Ri-an

Ri-an is the heir of the Jooshin Group and owns the school. He becomes a suspect in Kang Ha, his brother’s death. He dated Jae-i for years, and she broke up with him when she returned from the US.

  • Ji Hye-won as Yoon He-ra

He-ra is Jae-i’s best friend and has a crush on Ri-an. After Jae-i and Ri-an break up, she decides to win Ri-an’s heart. She is greedy and always gives priority to wealth and prestige.

  • Lee Won-jung as Lee Woo-jin

Woo-jin is Ri-an’s best friend. He is an artist who lives in his own studio.
