The anime series follows the story of Miyo Saimori, who has no supernatural powers and has been isolated from her own family. She was abused by her stepmother, Kanoko, and her stepsister, Kaya. When she grew up, Kanoko arranged her engagement with Kiyoka Kudou, who was cold and cruel and had kicked his previous fiancées out of his house.

Koji, Miyo’s childhood friend, was in love with her and intended to marry her. However, his father, Tatsuishi, was not interested in his son’s wish, as he planned Koji’s wedding with Kaya to inherit her wealth.

With no other options, Miyo was forced to become Kiyoka’s fiancée and sent to his residence. They eventually developed feelings for each other by facing many challenges. 

At the end of the series, Miyo finally learned her ability, Dream-Sight, as her mother belonged to a Usuba family. With the help of her power, she helped Kiyoka bring consciousness after he was fighting for his life following the Emperor’s attack.

The series’ first season covered the first two volumes of Akumi Agitogi’s novel, so the second season will probably focus on the subsequent two volumes. It will pick up the events after the finale; the Emperor has to face the consequences of their actions.
