Early Life

Beth was born on December 26, 1985, in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, the elder daughter of David and Maureen Behrs. Her father was a college administrator, and her mother was a first-grade teacher. She is six years older than her sister. When she was a child, her family moved to Lynchburg, Virginia, where she grew up.

At the age of four, she started performing in theatre, and as she grew up, she began practicing soccer. She went on to study at E.C. Glass High School. When she was 15, her family relocated to Marin County, California, and she resumed her studies at Tamalpais High School. In 2004, she graduated from high school. 

Due to her passion for acting, Beth studied at the American Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco. After that, she moved to Los Angeles to attend the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television.

Beth debuted in the teen comedy American Pie Presents: The Book of Love, the seventh film in the American Pie series. After that, she appeared in the comedy film Adventures of Serial Buddies. She first appeared on television by acting in guest roles on NCIS: Los Angeles and Castle.

She auditioned for 2 Broke Girls in 2011 while working as a nanny, and after seven auditions, she got to play the lead role. The series ran for six seasons until April 2017. In 2013, she appeared on Bravo on Bravo’s reality series It’s a Brad, Brad World. She became the voice character of Carrie Williams in the animated film Monsters University.

Beth then acted in the film Hello, My Name Is Doris alongside Sally Field and Max Greenfield. In 2016, she made her Manhattan stage debut in Halley Feiffer’s comedic play.
