Breaking: Oppo Find X8 Series Goes Global with Revolutionary Camera Features and MediaTek Power
Oppo has officially unveiled its highly anticipated Find X8 series, marking the company’s return to the international stage after a notable absence.
The launch, which kicked off in China on October 24, 2024, introduces two powerhouse devices: the Find X8 and Find X8 Pro, both featuring cutting-edge MediaTek technology and innovative camera capabilities.
Flagship features that turn heads
At the heart of both devices sits the MediaTek Dimensity 9400 chipset, a 3 nm powerhouse that promises to deliver exceptional performance. The Pro model, leading the charge, sports a massive 6.78-inch display that pushes the boundaries of smartphone technology with an eye-popping 4,500 nits of peak brightness.
Camera enthusiasts will find plenty to love about the Find X8 Pro’s quad-camera system. The device boasts four 50MP sensors, including two telephoto lenses—one at 3x and another at 6x zoom—making it a versatile photography tool.
A new shutter button feature, reminiscent of Apple’s “Camera Control,” adds to its appeal by enabling users to quickly launch the camera and control zoom with simple swipe gestures.
Battery Life That Won’t Quit
Power management takes center stage with the Find X8 series. The Pro model packs an impressive 5,910 mAh battery, while the standard X8 follows closely with a 5,630 mAh capacity. Both devices support 80W SuperVOOC fast charging and 50W wireless charging, ensuring users stay connected throughout their day.
Innovation Beyond the Basics
Oppo isn’t just stopping at traditional features. The company has introduced “Mag” charging accessories, a magnetic charging solution similar to MagSafe. While the functionality requires first-party cases, it opens up new possibilities for wireless charging at 50W speeds.
The base Find X8 model, while slightly more compact with its 6.59-inch display, maintains many of its siblings’s premium features. Both devices come with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage, running on ColorOS 15 based on Android 15.
Global Ambitions
Pete Lau, Oppo’s executive, has confirmed the Find X8 series will receive a global release. India appears to be high on the priority list, despite the absence of specific market announcements. Pricing in China starts at CNY 4,199 (approximately $50,000) for the base model and CNY 5,299 (around $63,000) for the Pro version.
Enhanced Protection
Both devices come with IP68/69 ratings for dust and water resistance, providing peace of mind for users. The addition of stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support and an infrared in-display fingerprint sensor rounds out the premium feature set.
As smartphone innovation continues to evolve, Oppo’s Find X8 series represents a significant step forward in mobile technology. With its powerful processors, advanced camera systems, and robust battery life, the series is poised to make a strong impact in the global smartphone market. The question now isn’t if these devices will succeed, but rather how quickly they’ll reshape the premium smartphone landscape.
