Chris Evans Looks Nearly Unrecognizable With Longer Hair and Bushy Beard at ‘Red One’ Photo Call

Chris Evans showed off a scruffy new transformation while promoting his upcoming action-comedy film “Red One” in the UK. The “Avengers” star turned heads with his dark, grown-out hair and full beard as he arrived at the movie’s photo call on Wednesday.

Evans, 43, usually rocks a clean-cut look, but for this event, he opted for a more rugged appearance, completing the makeover with a pair of round glasses. Dressed in a denim jacket, black t-shirt, pants, and dress shoes, the A-list actor posed alongside co-stars Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Lucy Liu.

Fans were quick to swoon over Evans’ new look, with one person writing on social media, “Chris Evans is so FINE.” Another person commented, “Hang this photo of Chris Evans in the Louvre,” and shared a profile shot of the “Captain America” star.

“Chris Evans is giving sexy college professor vibes,” raved a third user. The actor’s wife, Alba Baptista, did not appear to attend the London event. Evans and the 27-year-old “Warrior Nun” star tied the knot in September 2023, Page Six exclusively revealed at the time.

First romantically linked in November 2022, the couple made their red carpet debut as a pair at the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscars bash in Beverly Hills earlier this year. In January, they posed for photos on a double date with Robert Pattinson and Suki Waterhouse in Los Angeles.

Evans and Baptista, despite their high-profile relationship, rarely appear together in public. Last year, when the news of their romance first broke, people spotted the duo holding hands in New York City.

In Evans’ new holiday movie “Red One,” he plays a bounty hunter who teams up with the head of North Pole security, portrayed by Johnson, to rescue a kidnapped Santa Claus in time for Christmas. On November 15, theaters will host the film, which also stars Liu, Kiernan Shipka, and Nick Kroll.

Off-screen, the 43-year-old actor has been open about his excitement for married life. Shortly after exchanging vows, he gushed about the ceremonies, telling fans at New York Comic Con, “I got married. It was really, really great. We kind of had two ceremonies. We held one ceremony on the East Coast and another one in Portugal, where my wife is from.

Despite Evans’ well-known attachment to his rescue dog Dodger, he acknowledged that he couldn’t rely on the dog’s behavior at the wedding. “I don’t think we could’ve trusted it,” he said in August. “He’s too excited, too much of a social butterfly. He would have wanted to say hello to every single person. Indeed, he most likely would have been the star of the show.

As Evans continues to promote his latest project, fans are surely hoping to catch more glimpses of his rugged new look—and maybe even a rare appearance from his new bride. For now, the actor seems content focusing on his flourishing career and marital bliss.
