InStyle reported yesterday that Meghan Markle is an investor in the hair and wellness company Highbrow Hippie, founded by her colorist Kadi Lee and Myka Harris. The company was announcing the launch of a new hair care line, and Meghan told the outlet that she was “proud to invest in her as a friend and as a female founder.”
More and more news has been spreading about Meghan’s growing investment portfolio. In August, she spoke to The New York Times about her investment in the basket bag company Cesta Collective and said there were “between five and 10 brands” in her portfolio. Her first investment was the instant vegan latte company Clevr Blends back in 2020.
This year, Amy Griffin, the founder of the firm, arranged the annual G9 Summer Summit, where the tabloids also caught her. We expect her own company, American Riviera Orchard, to launch soon.
“Investing in them has helped me line up for this chapter where I’m investing in myself,” Meghan told The New York Times, adding that she sees her investment strategy as a “dolphin tank,” rather than a “Shark Tank.” “These are friendly waters,” she said.
Meghan Markle Gets Real About Her Relatable Hair Routine: “I Was Using Boxed dye.”
The Duchess of Sussex quipped about the beauty hack at the launch of Highbrow Hippie’s new haircare line. During the COVID pandemic, Meghan Markle modified her beauty routine in a relatable way by switching to boxed hair color.
The Duchess of Sussex, 43, made the relatable revelation at the Nov. 15 launch party for her close friend and hair colorist Kadi Lee’s new Highbrow Hippie Haircare and Wellness line at Gjelina restaurant in Venice, California, showing support for the female-founded venture she backs as an investor.
Following Lee’s discussion about how her friendship with Meghan shaped the development of her business, the Duchess of Sussex remarked, “I was using boxed dye when I met her,” which elicited laughter from the audience.
At the launch party, Meghan presented Lee with a thoughtful gift—roses from the garden of her Montecito home, where she lives with Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie, 5, and Princess Lilibet, 3.
Meghan Markle Dances With Pals During A Night Out In The US. But Where Is Prince Harry?
Meghan Markle attended the launch of a new haircare line by her friend and hair colorist, Kadi Lee, on Thursday. The event took place at Gjelina restaurant in Venice, California. Hairstylist Serge Normant and makeup artist Daniel Martin were among the friends who witnessed Markle dancing and enjoying herself. Prince Harry was not present at the celebration.
Social media posts captured the Duchess of Sussex dancing to a gospel choir performance while wearing a black jumpsuit. Markle spoke about Lee’s new haircare line, Highbrow Hippie, in a statement to InStyle magazine: “Kadi has a mastery of hair health, and her Highbrow Hippie collection is a perfect reflection of that. I am so proud to invest in her as a friend and as a female founder.”
Meghan Markle made this public appearance without Prince Harry. This comes as both she and Prince Harry have been increasingly undertaking solo engagements. Prince Harry has been traveling to various locations, including New York, London, and Southern Africa, to promote his philanthropic work.
