“This series offers audiences an unprecedented look into the passion and determination driving some of the world’s elite polo players, revealing the grit behind the glamour,” Prince Harry told Netflix’s Tudum. The Duke’s connection to the sport runs deep, following in the footsteps of his father, King Charles, and brother, Prince William, as an accomplished polo player himself.
The heart-pounding trailer released Thursday showcases the intensity of the sport, with players racing on horseback at breakneck speeds of 35 miles per hour. “Polo is not just a sport,” declares renowned player Nacho Figueras, a close friend of Prince Harry’s who features prominently in the series. “Polo is a lifestyle. We eat, we breathe, we sleep Polo.”
The docuseries centers around the prestigious U.S. Open Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida, following several compelling storylines:
- Father vs. Son Drama: Legendary player Adolfo Cambiaso faces off against his 17-year-old son Poroto in their first high-stakes American championship battle

The series marks another successful collaboration between the Sussexes and Netflix, following their previous hits “Heart of Invictus,” “Live to Lead,” and their documentary “Harry & Meghan.” The couple’s creative partnership with the streaming platform continues to expand, with Meghan set to executive produce an upcoming series celebrating cooking, gardening, and entertaining.
“Prince Harry and I have talked about polo for years,” Figueras shared with sources. “The production company is incredible, and Netflix has a huge platform to reach the biggest hearts in the world. I am happy to be involved and think this is a great opportunity for the sport.”
The series promises to deliver Polo’s glamour and grit, with the trailer dramatically declaring: “For legacy. For courage. For glory.” Under the direction of Michael Steed, known for his work on Anthony Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown,” viewers can expect an intimate look at the personal sacrifices, intense training, and fierce rivalries that define this elite sport.
As of December 10th, audiences worldwide await this royal-backed documentary, which promises to transform their understanding from a mere social spectacle into a compelling testament to athletic dedication and family legacy.
