Big Little Lies Season 3 Release Date

In January 2024, during the red carpet appearance at the Golden Globes, Witherspoon also shares some new updates about the series. She told Variety that she and Kidman were working on the new season. She said, “We are working on it. Nic and I have been working on it a lot.”
HBO and Max content chairman/CEO Casey Bloys also discussed some possible responses for the third season in a conversation with Variety. He said he heard about season 3 a little bit and thought, “It could be great.”

The series follows the lives of five women in Monterey: Celeste (Nicole Kidman) – a former attorney who gave up her career to raise her twins; Madeline (Reese Witherspoon) – Celeste’s best friend, who stays at home; Jane (Shailene Woodley) – their new friend, who is a newcomer to Monterey; Renata (Laura Dern) – a successful businesswoman; Bonnie (Zoe Kravitz) – married to Madeline’s ex-husband. They were entangled in a murder investigation of Celeste’s husband, Perry.
They were covering it up as an accident but were questioned by the police and investigators by suspecting Perry’s death. At the end of the first season, the women were set free from the investigation.
The second season focuses on Perry’s mother, Mary Louise, trying to find out the truth behind his death and her attempts to take custody of Celeste’s children. It also explores the women’s decision to lie about the murder.
