Chucky Season 4 Release Date

We don’t have a release date for Chucky’s season 4, and there is no confirmation regarding the series’ renewal. The show debuted in 2021, and the second season was in 2022. The third season was released in two parts, the first in October 2023 and the second in April 2024.

It has been two months since the show ended, and the network has not spoken about its future. But creator Don Mancini is hopeful for another season. In an April conversation with Screen Rant, he said, “We’re hoping to get a season 4 of the show. Fingers crossed. I pitched the idea already to the network, so we’re hoping on that.”

In an interview with The Direct, Mancini stated, “I think it’s really fun, new, and again, another left turn in terms of what we’ve been doing so far,” and continued, “We don’t know the status of the show yet. So again, fingers crossed that we will get picked up, right?”

If the show gets greenlit in the upcoming months, the premiere date of the fourth season will probably be in late 2025.

Chucky Season 4 Plot Synopsis – Spoilers Ahead

The series takes place four years after the event of Cult of Chucky. Jake Wheeler, a 14-year-old boy, buys a Good Guy doll for his art project at a yard sale. The doll is possessed by Charles Lee Ray’s soul, a serial killer known as Chucky. Chucky starts a series of murders in the town revolving around Jake, who soon becomes a suspect.

In the third season, Chucky enters the White House, where his owner is Henry Collins, the president’s younger son. There, he carries out a series of murders. Lexy, Jake, and Devon find out about Chucky’s whereabouts and decide to stop him by executing a plan.

With the help of Brant, the president’s elder son, the three of them enter the White House. Jake goes to the spiritual world to find Chucky in the hope of learning about Lexi’s missing sister, Caroline. There, he meets Good Chucky, who tells Jake that Caroline is with Wendell Wilkins, whom he calls grandfather.

Jake tries to convince Good Chucky to make the sacrifice to end all, but he gets distracted, and Chucky Prime enters his body. Possessed, Jake takes Lexy and Devon to Wilkins’ home. They participate in a ritual there, and Chucky returns to the doll. He meets Tiffany, and she is also restored into a new doll.

In the third season finale, Nica, a victim of Chucky, enters the Wilkins’ home to rescue them and finds out that  Jake, Devon, and Lexy have become Dolls. Wilkins points a gun at her, and we hear her terrified screaming in the night. 

Nothing has been revealed yet about the plot for the future season, but there are plenty of threads to explore.

The series has not been renewed for season 3, so there is no confirmed cast list for the upcoming season. However, the main cast will return to reprise their roles. Brad Dourif will be back to voice Chucky, as he has played the character since the first Child’s Play movie (1988).
