Everything Calls for Salvation Season 2 Plot Synopsis – Spoilers Ahead

The story is about Daniele Cenni, played by the talented actor Federico Cesari. He is a twenty-year-old troubled man. He wakes up in a psychiatric ward after a psychic break, which is surrounded by a variety of patients with mental illness. 

Dr. Cimaroli tells him that last night, he used high drugs and pushed his father, which resulted in a head injury. S,o he was admitted to the psychiatric ward for treatment for a week.

Daniele shares a room with four people, including Mario, a retired school teacher; Gianluca, a gay man who has bipolar disorder; Madonnia, a nonverbal man ignored by his parents; and Alessandro, who is in a vegetative state, and his father frequently visits him.

During his hospital stay, he meets Nina, whom he has known since high school. She was one of his crush in the school. He learns that Nina tried to commit suicide and got admitted. They both start to help each other and learn to love and live again.

At the conclusion of season 1, Daniele was discharged, and outside the hospital, he had a conversation with Nina. She revealed to him that she was pregnant. Also, Daniele bid farewell to Mario, who tragically fell through the window and passed away. 

According to the synopsis of the second season, Daniele and Nina become parents of a little girl, but they get separated shortly after her birth. They get into a legal fight for the custody of their daughter. 

Daniele opts to become a nurse after his experience during the CHT week. He started as an intern at the same hospital where he was admitted. There, he encounters new patients, and his empathy towards them causes him trouble.

Everything Calls for Salvation Season 2 Cast Members List

There has yet to be an official confirmation about who will be returning in Everything Calls for Salvation season 2. However, Federica Cesari and Fotinì Peluso will surely return to reprise their characters, Daniele Cenni and Nina Marinelli, respectively. The one cast member who will probably not return in the upcoming season is Andrea Pennacchi as Mario. The character died in season 1 after falling out of the window.
