CBS announced the official release date of Ghosts season 4. The first episode will arrive on the network on Thursday, October 17, at 08:30 p.m. ET/PT. The series debuted in October 2021, and the second season was in September 2022. The third season was delayed due to the Hollywood strikes, and it was aired in February 2024.

The fourth season was renewed in March before the conclusion of season 3. The production for the upcoming season begins in July, and the actor Asher Grodman confirmed the news by sharing a photo of the cast on his social media account with the caption, “We’re baaaack!”

Ghosts Season 4 Plot Synopsis – Spoilers Ahead

The series follows Jay and Samantha, a married couple. When they inherit a beautiful country house from Samantha’s aunt, Sophie Woodstone, they think their dream has come true. But soon, they discover that the house is inhabited by several ghosts who have died on that property in different eras of American history. However, the ghosts were only visible to Sam after she faced a near-death experience.

The plot details of the fourth season are currently unknown. In the finale of the third season, Isaac cancels his wedding with Nigel and is taken by Patience to the basement, a ghost who has been stuck in the dirt for years. 

While speaking with TV Line, Joe Port said that the upcoming season will explore the continuation of his disappearance by stating, “That’s going to be the first order of business to open [Season 4] is, first of all, everyone has to find out that he’s missing, which they soon will, and then they have to get Isaac back.”

In a conversation with Variety at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, Utkarsh Ambudkar revealed an interesting fact about season 4: Jay also starts seeing ghosts.
