The show’s lead actor, Josh Brolin, expected his interest in doing more seasons in several interviews. During a conversation with Jonathan  Blomberg on YouTube, he said, “I think it would be intriguing, which I can’t believe me saying because I don’t want to stay with anything too long,” and continued, “but this series just as an idea and as an experience has gotten more intriguing the further we’ve gone with it, so I think that Season 3 would be amazing.”

However, the network decided not to renew the series. But, if the demand for another season is high, they will rethink it. We hope we get the good news of the series’ return.

Outer Range Season 3 Plot Synopsis – Spoilers Ahead

The series follows the story of the Abbott family: Royal and his wife Cecilia, their two sons, Perry and Rhett, and Perry’s daughter, Amy. Perry’s wife, Rebecca, has been missing for months. Royal’s neighbor ranchers, the Tillersons, believe that a plot owned by Royal belongs to them. Tillersons’ Wayne desperately tries to get Abbott’s west pasture, but Royal is unwilling to give him, which creates tension between the two families. Things become even more complicated when Royal discovers a mysterious black hole in their land.

In the second season, Autumn realizes that Amy is her younger self. She takes Amy to the void, and Royal tries to prevent them by shooting Autumn, but he fails to save Amy as she falls into the void. When Amy wakes up on the other side of the void, she loses all memories from the past and remembers her name as Autumn. Her story should be further explored in the upcoming season.
