BBC TV chief Charlotte Moore confirmed the news, stating, “After years of fervent speculation, I’m incredibly excited to confirm that The Night Manager is returning to the BBC for two more series.”
The first season was released on February 21, 2016, and there was a long gap for the next season. But in the past few years, the cast and crew of the series have hinted about its potential return.
In 2017, director Susanne Bier stated that the script of season 2 was developing. She said that they wanted to create another season, saying, “We absolutely do not want is to do something that does not live up to the level of season one.”
