The Chosen One is one of the recently released coming-of-age series, initially based on a comic book named American Jesus, written by Peter Gross and Mark Millar. It is one worth watching, particularly for those who love supernatural dramas.

The series is about a 12-year-old boy named Jodie, who lives with his mother, Sarah, in Mexico’s small town. Once upon a day, Jodie meets with an unpredicted and bizarre incident, after which he realizes he has some supernatural powers, like Jesus Christ. 

Later as the series progresses, Jodie has to choose a way to help other people by using his supernatural powers or to hide his actual reality from the others.

Later, we see how Dion uses his superpowers one day to control the accident moment, and by visiting, Nicole tensed more; now, she must care for his son, as she does not want to put the power of his son Dion in front of others.

The series, particularly the character Nicole, has many similarities with Sarah from The Chosen One, but the most similar thing is their caring and protective nature for their children.

Just like The Chosen One Character Jodie, here too we have a Damien, who wants to live everyday life and not want to reveal anything about the power he has in his life.

Damien is a Horror drama series, or it is a renewal of The Omen film, which was released in 1976. Here, the creators added a few flashback moments, too, in which we see that as Damien Grew up, he wanted to return to his Satanic past.

As time passes, Sydney faces many challenges to hide her superpowers infront of others.

The only similarity we find between The Chosen One series; and in I Am Not Okay With This is the way Jodie and Sydney face the challenges after knowing their hidden superpowers.
