Early Life
Cohen was born to Evelyn and Lou Cohen on June 2, 1968, in St. Louis, Missouri. His family is Jewish. His sister, Emily Rosenfeld, is a jewelry designer. He attended Clayton High School and completed his graduation in 1986.

Cohen started his television career as an intern at CBS News. He worked on the network for 10 years and eventually became the senior producer of the morning talk show The Early Show. He also produced 48 Hours and CBS This Morning.
In 2000, Andy left CBS News and joined the television network Trio. In 2004, Bravo purchased the network, and he became its vice president of original programming.
