Collins was born on April 7, 1992, in Prattville, Alabama. She has four siblings, and her father, Jeff Collins Sr., is a mortgage banker. She graduated from Prattville High School and attended the University of Alabama, where she earned her political science and journalism degrees. However, she initially chose to major in Chemistry.

Professional Life

After graduating from college, she chose to intern with the website The Daily Caller in Washington, D.C. Later, in June 2014, she was hired as an entertainment reporter for The Daily Caller. Following the 2016 presidential election coverage, she became its White House correspondent in 2017. After that, she started covering the Trump administration.

While at The Daily Caller, she was invited to CNN several times. She joined CNN in July 2017 as part of the team covering presidential news. At that time, she gained much attention through her sharp questions and fearless reporting.
