Ayesha and Stephen Curry Announce the Arrival of Their Fourth Baby
Ayesha and Stephen Curry welcomed their fourth baby. The couple announced the birth of their baby boy on Sunday through Instagram. They shared that their son, Caius Chai, was born on May 11th.
The pair posted a black and white photo of Ayesha gently holding the hand of their baby and captioned it, “Our sweet baby boy decided to make an early arrival!!” and continued, “He’s doing great, and we are finally settling in at home as a family of 6! So grateful!”
Many of their fans and celebrity friends, including Hailey Bieber, Justin Bieber, Justin Timberlake, and Halle Bailey, congratulated them in the comment section.
Ayesha announced her fourth pregnancy in March through the cover of her magazine Sweet July, a lyfestyle publication. In an interview with the magazine, she shares, “For so many years, Stephen and I thought we were done,” and continued, “Three, that’s it, we’re not doing this again.”
She said that they decided they wanted a fourth child, and the decision took place when she felt “somebody was missing”. She thought that it would complete their family.
In her interview, she also talks about her kids reactions to her fourth pregnancy. She said, Getting to experience this through his (Canon) eyes and through Ryan and Riley’s eyes has been so cool. They’re at such different ages and stages in life.
She also added that their perspectives were different, which was the most exciting thing about them.
During the promotion of her new film Irish Wish in March, Ayesha talked ET about why her fourth pregnancy was different from the other three. She said, “I love being a little bit older and having this experience,” and she further added, “I’m just in a space mentally where I’m more appreciative, and so it’s just been entirely different experience.”
Ayesha and Stephen first met in 2003 at church, when they were teenagers, and they reunited in 2008 in Los Angeles. They tied the knot in June 2011 and welcomed their first daughter, Riley, in the following year. They expanded their family with a second child, Ryan, in 2015. Their third child, Canon, was born in 2018.
In a 2021 podcast episode of Skimm’d From The Couch, she shared her experience of struggling to find a career as a mother of three. Then she found her passion in a recipe blog, which led to the launch of restaurants, cookbooks, and TV series.
