BBC TV Presenter Doctor Michael Mosley’s Cause of Death Revealed
The famous British television doctor Michael Mosley’s cause of death is revealed one day after he was found dead on the Greek island of Symi.
According to the initial post-mortem, the Greek police officer, Kontantia Dimoglide, told the BBC that there were no injuries found on his body and he was lying in a face-up position, which indicated that the reason for his death was natural cause. It is also confirmed that his death happened on June 5, around 4 p.m.
However, it is yet to be determined what his exact cause of death was. The Times reported that the intense heat delayed the search for his body, preventing officials from drawing a definitive conclusion about his death.
According to The Guardian, a local broadcaster from Greece reported that foul play has been ruled out. The officials ordered a toxicology and histology report to discover the cause of his death, and the result will take several months to come out.
The news of Mosley’s death comes a few days after his missing report was filed on June 5, during which he was separated from his wife during the vacation on Saint Nikolas Beach and took a midday walk around 1:30 p.m. When he did not return, a few hours later his wife filed a missing complaint.
The officials obtained CCTV footage that captured Mosley walking down a rocky hillside, which was reportedly near the area where his body was found. According to Greek police authorities, he left the phone on the beach.
Mosley’s wife, Claire, confirmed the news of his death on Sunday. She paid tribute to her late husband by stating, “It’s devastating to have lost Michael, my wonderful, funny, kind and brilliant husband,” and continued, “We had an incredibly lucky life together. We loved each other very much and were so happy together.”
She also expressed her gratitude for the Symi residents who made an effort to find Mosley’s body. She said, “Some of these people on the island, who hadn’t even heard of Michael, worked from dawn till dusk unasked.”
She further added, “My family and I have been hugely comforted by the outpouring of love from people from around the world.”
