Cassie Ventura Finally Breaks Silence After Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Assault Video in Hotel
Cassie Ventura finally spoke out publicly after the release of Sean Diddy Combs physically assaulting video at a hotel in 2016. On Thursday, Ventura posted a statement on Instagram to express her gratitude for her fans.
She wrote, “Thank you for all of the love and support from my family, friends, strangers and those I have yet to meet.” She continued, “Domestic Violence is THE issue, It broke me down to someone I never thought I would become.”
She also added that, with the hard work, she felt better now and would be recovering from the past. She concluded the statement by quoting, “This healing journey is never ending, but this support means everything to me. Thank you.”
Ventura’s statement comes after CNN released a video of Diddy physically abusing her in the hallway of a hotel in Los Angeles. The video shows Diddy grabbing Cassie and pushing her to the floor, followed by him kicking her and attempting to drag her to the hotel room. Later in the video, it shows Diddy sitting on the chair, grabbing some objects, and throwing them towards Cassie.
Cassie first made an allegation against Combs in November 2023. She filed a lawsuit against him, claiming that he abused her over a decade, which included physical assault, violence, and sex trafficking. She also accused him of rape in 2018 after she tried to leave him. But the following day, they reached a settlement by stating they resolved the claim through “mutual satisfaction.”
After the lawsuit was settled, more people came forward and accused Combs of abuse and sex trafficking. In December, he lashes out at the allegations against him. He wrote in the statement, “ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” and continued, “For the last couple of weeks, I have sat silently and watched people try to assassinate my character, destroy my reputation, and my legacy.”
Federal agents raided Combs’ properties in March as part of the ongoing investigation. After his assault video went viral on the internet, Combs posted a video on his Instagram and addressed the issue with the caption, “I’m truly sorry.”
He said in that footage, “It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life.” He continued, “Sometimes you gotta do that. I was f—ed up. I mean, I hit rock bottom, but I make no excuses.”
He also stated that his behavior in the video was “inexcusable” and that he took “responsibility for his actions.” He concluded the video by stating, “I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
