Cole Hauser Hints New Yellowstone Spinoff with Kelly Reilly
Yellowstone star Cole Hauser gave a hint in an interview that there will be a spin-off of the series with him and Kelly Reilly. The last part of the Paramount+ series starts production this year. But the actor teased that the future of his and Kelly’s characters is beyond the finale of the fifth season.
Hauser told Country Living, “I’m so focused on finishing Yellowstone the way it needs to be finished right now.” He continued that they would see where it led, and the creator, Taylor, had some idea about him, Kelly, and some other cast. Hauser is excited about where Taylor’s creativity would go.
The showrunner of Yellowstone, Taylor Sheridan, was against bringing the cast for any spin-off last year. However, as per the recent reports, he has changed his mind and plans to do a spin-off with Hauser, Kelly, and others.

Previously, there were reports that Cole Hauser, Kelly Reilly, and Luke Grimes would return for the spin-off, which will pick up after the end of the series. At that time, Kelly said in an interview that she just cared about finishing the show. Kelly also added that there were discussions, but she didn’t have an answer at that time. She said that let’s wait for the confirmation.
The series Yellowstone debuted on Paramount Network in June 2018. It focuses on the Dutton family, the owners of the largest land in Montana, commonly known as “Yellowstone.” It was a compelling story of the Dutton family, blending Western and crime elements.
The series’ success led to the renewal of five seasons, and it is confirmed that the fifth season will be the last. The fifth season’s first part was released on November 13, 2022, and the second part is set to premiere on November 10, 2024.
The future of the series became a dilemma in 2023, as it was reported that Kevin Costner, who played John Dutton III, decided to leave the show amid a disagreement with Sheridan. Later, Sheridan revealed that Coster wished to depart the show because he wanted to concentrate on his upcoming two-part film, Horizon: An American Saga. Kevin Coster recently said he wanted to finish his character, John Dutton. He also expressed that there was no indication it would happen.
The final part is expected to premiere this fall, but the filming has yet to start, and the episode count has also not been confirmed.
