Hedgehog Sniffs Around A Mickey Mouse Jack-O-Lantern As Animals At Disney World Enjoy Pumpkins
Visitors and animal lovers alike will find no tricks, just treats, at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The keepers at Disney’s Animal Nutrition Center are especially busy this time of year as they prep and carve pumpkins for the animals to celebrate Halloween with a themed enrichment experience.
At Animal Kingdom in Orlando, all creatures large and small got to play with, nibble on, and even smash pumpkins. A hedgehog sniffed a pumpkin with a Mickey Mouse-shaped cutout in a fun video, while a tortoise nibbled on a mini pumpkin with a spooky carving.
The enrichment provided to the creatures throughout Disney World is key for “promoting good digestive health and encouraging natural behaviors and instincts in their habitats,” a rep for Disney tells people.
Parts Of Disney World Will Be Closing What Fans Should Know
The energy was electric at the D23 Disney Experiences Showcase in Anaheim, California, over the summer. That quickly changed as fans learned that two newly announced Cars-themed attractions would be replacing Tom Sawyer Island and Rivers of America in Magic Kingdom.
Not long after, fans began worrying about possibly losing Muppet*Vision 3D in Disney’s Hollywood Studios to a newly announced Monsters Inc.-inspired suspended coaster, even though Disney hasn’t confirmed its intended location.
Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro said, “I love the fact that our fans are speculating and watching every move that we make. That means they care. That means they’re engaged with us. This implies that they share our dreams and hopes.
While fans are understandably concerned about the upcoming changes, Disney’s leadership remains focused on delivering new and exciting experiences for guests to enjoy at the parks.
