Eamonn Walker Quits Chicago Fire After 12 Seasons as Wallace Boden
Chicago Fire star Eamonn Walker left the show after 12 seasons. Eamonn portrayed the character of Wallace Boden for around 250 episodes in the series. The news regarding his exit gave a shock to the fans.
In the recent episodes of the show, it was revealed that Boden was on leave because of some family problems. However there are three more episodes left for the conclusion of the twelfth season.
As per reports, he will return to the finale episode titled, “Never Say Goodbye”, which is scheduled to air on May 22. In that episode, viewers can understand the reason behind his departure.
According to the site, Walker decided to leave the drama on his own. However, his role has not been removed from the show; he will be part of a recurring cast in the upcoming seasons.

Since the Chicago Fire release in 2012, Eamonn Walker has been part of the main cast in the series. He portrayed the character of Wallace Boden in the original series and its spin-off series Chicago Med and Chicago P.D.
At the beginning of the series, Borden started his job as a battalion chief in the Chicago Fire Department. His responsibility was to handle Battalion 25. He is in charge of managing Firehouse 51, which includes firefighters and paramedics of Engine 51, Squad 3, Truck 81, and Ambulance 61. He was promoted to Deputy District Chief in season 10 and is currently waiting for the position of Deputy Fire Commissioner at CFD. If Borden gets the top position, his screen time will be reduced.
Walker is one of many people to exit the series. Throughout the years, many cast members have left the show. Kara Killmer departed the show this season. Her character, Sylvie Brett, bid farewell after she tied the knot with Matt Casey and moved to Oregon in February.
Jesse Spencer, the main cast of the series, left the show in 2021 after 200 episodes. In an interview, he stated his mixed feelings about the exit and his wish to explore new opportunities after 18 years of dedication to the series.
Eamonn Walker started his television career in ‘In Sickness and in Health. His other series include The Bill, Supply and Demand, and Oz. he also acted in several films, including Young Soul Rebels, Once in the Life, Legacy, and A Lonely Place to Die.
