Emily in Paris actor Paul Forman will be guest starring in the new season of Doctor Who. According to Entertainment Weekly, the 30-year-old actor is facing off against Ncuti Gatwa’s Doctor. Forman plays the character in the Regency era named Lord Barton, who appears charming the outward but has sinister secrets behind his smooth words. 

Forman will appear in the sixth episode of the series, titled “Rogue.” The showrunner Russel T Davies teased the character of Forman, saying that everyone saw him as one sort of person in Emily in Paris. He added that he doesn’t think anyone expects Paul to become this sort of person.

Paul Forman said in a statement that he was excited to be part of the beloved and remarkable universe of Doctor Who. he also added that joining an established project with a feeling of new and boundless possibilities made him thrilled. Also, the role gave him a memorable experience that he would never forget. 

Doctor Who is a science fiction series, which was started to premiere in 1963. The story follows the adventure of the Time Lord, known as Doctor, who is an extraterrestrial from the planet Gallifrey. The Doctor explores the universe with a stolen TARDIS, a time travel spaceship. The series became the longest-running science fiction series on television.

The new season of Doctor Who will start on Friday, May 10, worldwide on Disney+, and in the UK, it will premiere on Saturday, May 11 on BBC iPlayer. It will feature Gatwa, who debuted in the holiday special Doctor Who last year, and the new companion, Millie Gibson, as Ruby Sunday. It will consist of 8 episodes, with each airing every week.

The story of the new season follows the doctor and Ruby travel through the universe to unknown lands and the Regency era in England.

Paul Forman is a French British actor famous for his roles in the BBC series Father Brown. He also appeared in the Starz series The Spanish Princess, the Amazon Prime Video series Riches, and the Irish series Frank of Ireland. He also acted in the Australian film Nevrland. 

He got recognition globally by playing the role of Nicolas de Leon in the series Emily in Paris season 3 on Netflix. The character Nicolas is a businessman and Mindy’s love interest. He is also set to play a role in the upcoming series Stags on Paramount+. 

Paul Forman has also made a career in modeling. He appeared on the covers of L’Officiel Poland, Attitude, and Densudo. Forman also worked with brands, including Cartier and Clarins. In an interview, he said his dream modeling job is working with Calvin Klien.
