Emily Simpson is responding to Jennifer Pedranti’s claim that her in-laws, also known as Shane Simpson’s parents, financially support their lifestyle. On Part 1 of The Real Housewives of Orange County Season 18 reunion (which aired on November 7), the ladies engaged in an intense discussion about the mention of Ryan Boyajian’s name in connection with an FBI investigation.
After Emily discussed what she had apparently read about the case, Jennifer mentioned that she had also read that Emily’s in-laws support her and Shane’s lifestyle. Emily addressed the comment in an Instagram Story she shared after the reunion aired. “If my in-laws ‘funded our lifestyle,’ I’d be living WAY larger than I am right now. I’d be on private jets with Heather Dubrow,” Emily wrote in her story. “They do not.”
What Did Jennifer Pedranti Say About Shane Simpson’s Parents?
Towards the end of Part 1, host Andy Cohen and the ladies began to discuss Ryan’s past legal issues. “I’m telling you everything I’ve read, and I’ve done as much research as possible to understand it.” Emily discussed the legal matter from which Ryan has received immunity.
When Shannon Storms Beador defended Jennifer regarding Ryan’s immunity, Emily responded, “But that’s contrary to everything I’ve read.” Jennifer responded, “I’m sorry, I’ve read that your in-laws fund your whole life.” Emily didn’t respond to Jennifer in the moment, but she did share her thoughts on social media.
Who Are Emily Simpson’s In-laws?
The attorney and mom of three, who married Shane in 2009, has featured her mother-in-law, Pary Simpson, on RHOC in the past. Elsewhere, in an Instagram Q&A in November 2020, Shane shared that his mom is “100 percent Iranian.” Shane and his family are also all practicing Mormons, though Emily is not.
Furthermore, in August, Shane’s eldest daughter, Shelby, who he shares with his other daughter, Chanel, and his first wife, held her wedding reception at Emily’s in-laws’ home. Emily shared on Instagram the details of Shelby and husband Evan’s August 16 nuptials, which took place in the LDS Temple in Newport in the morning, followed by a family dinner and ring ceremony at my in-laws’ home.
“It was a perfect, sunny, gorgeous day of family and friends celebrating Evan and Shelby.” Find out what happens next between Jennifer and Emily by watching new episodes of RHOC on Thursdays at 9/8c on Bravo. Stream episodes the next day on Peacock.
