As the story moves ahead, Maya’s abusive ex-husband Ajit (Saurabh Sachdeva) knocks on her door extorts money, and threatens Maya by saying that he will kill her and Tara. Within a fraction of a second, a violent action took place, and in retaliation, Ajit died due to suffocation. 

Per the counter consequences, Inspector Karan Anand took charge as an investigating officer and asked Maya about the mishap. However, Maya somehow convinced her that she was not present at the time of the murder but a while later Maya’s employees told Karan about Naren’s support and love for Maya.
