Kesha’s ‘F—P. Diddy Tik Tok Lyrics’ Update with Reneé Rapp During Coachella 2024 Performance
Coachella 2024 kicked off with a bang and one of the biggest surprises of the festival was Kesha’s Tik Tok lyrics update.
On April 14, Kesha made an appearance at Coachella along with Reneé Rapp. During the performance, she changed the lyrics of her song referred to by Sean “Diddy” Combs. Rapp welcomed Kesha to the stage by referring to her as the hottest person on the earth.
The original line of the song was “Wake up in the morning feeling like P Diddy”, and instead she sang “Wake up in the morning like f–k P. Diddy.” while singing, Kesha and Rapp raised their middle fingers. The audience gathered at the outdoor stage realized what the two women meant and they cheered for their performance.
This is not the first time Kesha changed the song’s lyrics. In November, during her performance on the Only Love tour in Los Angeles, she changed the line to “Wake up in the morning feeling just like me.” At that time Combs was facing numerous allegations against him.
That performance took place a day after the singer Cassandra “Cassie” Ventura, who had been a former girlfriend of Combs for over a decade, filed a lawsuit against him for the accusation of physical and sexual abuse. In that lawsuit, she mentioned she faced violence, abuse, and sex trafficking throughout their relationship. Also included rape and domestic violence, when she attempted to leave him. The complaint was settled a day later.
Subsequently, more cases were filed against Combs’ sexual assault. The same month, the artist of “I’ll Be Missing You” alleged him for sexual misconduct.
In February, Rodney Jones, who has worked recent Grammy-nominated album of Combs, accused him of harassing. Also, a new lawsuit was filed against him along with his son Christian, that alleged a sexual assault towards a woman, during the Yatch trip in 2022. But the attorney of them denied the allegation.
In March, two properties of Comb located in Los Angeles and Miami were raided by Federal agents from the Department of Homeland Security because of the ongoing investigation related to sex trafficking.
Kesha shows a strong stand against Combs because of her own experience of sexual assault. She battled legally against her former producer Lukasz Gottwald, for nearly a decade. She filed a lawsuit against Gottwald in 2014, in which she claimed that in 2005, he drugged and raped her. Also, accused that over 10 years she faced physical, sexual, and emotional abuse, which led to her depression, panic attacks, social isolation, and traumatic stress.
However, her lawsuit was canceled in 2016 and against Kesha, Gottwald filed a defamation lawsuit, which was later settled out of the court.
