Kristin Chenoweth Opens Up She Was Severely Abused by an Ex After Watching Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs Video

Kristin Chenoweth reveals her traumatic experience of abuse by her ex after watching the footage of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs physically assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

On Saturday, she shared her personal experience of domestic abuse on X by writing, “Honestly, I have my reasons for the Sean Combs video bothering me so much.” She continued, “The main thing I need to do is pray for him. For real.”

After posting her thoughts, she was criticized for supporting Combs. The people commented that she should pray for the victim, not the evil abuser. After that, she decided to share her own experience in a past relationship.

She shared a follow-up post and wrote, “It took me therapy and prayer to understand I deserved better. I was deeply injured physically and spiritually.” she also added, “The only thing I knew to do when i got out was pray. Pray for myself.”

She responded in a fan’s subsequent posts, “I must admit I haven’t forgiven yet. It’s beyond me. God is helping me through that part.” She further added that the victim must handle the abuse in their best ways. She also hoped that her story would help someone who faced such situations.

Kristin Chenoweth is currently married to Josh Bryant. They tied the knot in September 2023. She didn’t reveal the details of her ex, who abused her. She formerly engaged with the actor Marc Kudisch from 1998 to 2001. She also had previous relationships with Seth Green, Lane Garrison, Dana Brunetti, and Aaron Sorkin.

Chenoweth’s post came after CNN published a 2016 surveillance footage, which shows Combs kicking, dragging, and pushing his ex, Ventura, in the hallway of the hotel in Century City. It also shows the rapper dragged her to his hotel room and later threw an object at her.

The footage proves the allegation that Ventura filed the lawsuit against Combs in November 2023, in which she accused him of being abusive, including a claim that he raped her in 2018. They settled the lawsuit the following day, and Combs constantly denied the allegation against him.

After the video resurfaced, Combs finally took responsibility and posted an apology video for his actions. In that video, he said, “My behavior on that video is inexcusable. I take full responsibility for my actions in that video. I’m disgusted.”

He also added that he sought professional help and started therapy after the incident. He concluded the video by saying, “I’m not asking for forgiveness. I’m truly sorry.”
