Nicki Minaj Apologizes to Fans for Postponing Her Concert Following the Arrest in Amsterdam
Nicki Minaj apologized to her fans for postponing her concert in Manchester, UK, by posting a lengthy note on her social media account. The rapper was arrested at Amsterdam Airport for allegedly carrying drugs, and later she was released from police custody.
She then met her supporters outside the hotel, and a fan shared a video of her. In that footage, she expressed her sorrow over canceling her show that evening. She said, “I love you, and I’m so sorry this happened tonight.”
Later, she posted an apology on X to her fans on Saturday. She wrote, “Thank you to everyone who prayed for me today. May God cover you and all that is connected to you. May you be blessed beyond your imagination.”

Then, Minaj detailed her arrest in a lengthy post. She said that she had sat in the jail cell for 5–6 hours. She continued, “My plane still didn’t take off for another 20 mins once I boarded. The flight was 50 mins. 50 mins.”
She accused the officers of not letting her perform on the stage that night. Shed noted that she had video evidence and continued, “I’ll have the lawyers & GOD take it from here tho.”
The musician requested her fans accept her “deepest and most sincere apologies.” She further added, “They sure did know exactly how to hurt me today but this too, shall pass.”
Minaj promised her fans that they would reschedule another date for the performance. She wrote, “I’ll find a way to not only make up the date with the performance but I’m going to create an added bonus for everyone that had a tkt for this show.”
She concluded the post by assuring fans her shows in Birmingham and Manchester would go on as per the schedule.
Minaj was arrested at Amsterdam Airport on Saturday morning for carrying soft drugs a few hours before her performance was set to kick off. She recorded an Instagram live video following her arrest; later, a fan posted it on X. In that video, the officers told her that she was under arrest for carrying drugs. The officers then instructed her to cease the recording and enter the police van. She continuously refused it and asked them to speak with her lawyer.
In a second video, the official told Minaj that they needed to search her other luggage because they were suspicious she was carrying more drugs.
According to the statement from the Dutch police, Minaj was released from custody after paying the fine.
