Prince William Breaks the Silence on Social Media, After Kate’s Cancer Announcement
Prince William is not active on social media, after his wife, Kate, revealed her cancer diagnosis. It was nearly one month, and finally, he broke the silence. However, William didn’t mention anything regarding Kate’s health in his new post. It was a support post to Rachel Daly, a British soccer player, who recently made a retirement announcement from sports.
Through that post, William thanked Rachel Daly for her unforgettable performances. It was posted on the both Duke of Sussex’s account and the Duchess of Sussex’s account, and it was signed with his signature W, which indicates that it was written personally by Prince William.

Princess Kate revealed the diagnosis of her cancer on March 22, 2024, by sharing a video clip on the social media accounts of her and William’s and she appeared on the video alone.
In that video, she openly shared her experience, and it was challenging for a few weeks. She started her video by saying that it was a tough month for their entire family, but she had a great medical team to take care of her.
After she said that she underwent abdominal surgery in London, and it was successful. But after the operation, they took some tests and found the presence of cancer. She added that her medical team advised her to take preventative chemotherapy, and she is in the treatment’s early stage.
The Princess of Wales ended the video by stating to her fans that while on her treatment period, her family needed space and privacy for some time.
Kate’s cancer was diagnosed after the performance of an unspecified abdominal surgery in January. After several weeks there had been speculation about her well-being, and finally, by issuing the video she ended the speculations.
At that time Prince William was tied up with his royal duties and public events. He is an active supporter of soccer and has supported Aston Villa since he was in school. Since 2006, he has been the president of The Football Association in England.
