Resident Alien Renewed for Season 4 and Moves to USA Network
Resident Alien got an official renewal for the fourth season, with a major change. The series is moving from Syfy to USA Network, with a significant reduction in the upcoming season’s budget.
Resident Alien is a science fiction dramedy series created by Chris Sheridan and based on Peter Hogan and Steve Parkhouse’s comic book of the same title. Sheridan will continue to lead the series for the upcoming season, adding humor, science fiction, and drama to the storyline.
The first season premiered in January 2021, and after two months, it was renewed for season 2. The second season was released in 2022, and the third season aired in February 2024.
The series follows an alien named Harry who crash-landed on earth on a secret mission to kill all humans. He assumed the identity of a doctor in the town’s Clinic, and after spending some time on Earth, he gradually began grappling with his moral dilemma regarding his mission.
In the finale of the third season, Harry’s plan to stop the Grey invasion on the earth turned into a failure, and he and his son Bridget were trapped in the moon, and they discovered that the moon is a Grey spaceship.

The first season of the series received a 94% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes. The first two seasons of the show landed on Netflix in February and garnered a significant amount of viewership. During the first five weeks, season 1 ranked on Netflix’s top 10 list for English-language series.
The episode count for the upcoming season has yet to be announced. The first season consist of 10 episodes, and the second season had 16 episodes, which were dropped by dividing them into two parts, while the third season’s episodes were reduced to 8 episodes.
