Twilight was released in 2008 and marked its 15th anniversary last year. The film was directed by Catherine Hardwicke, based on the book series by Stephenie Meyer of the same name. After the huge success of the first film, the franchise released four more sequels between 2009 and 2012.
It became one of the highest-grossing film franchises of all time, collecting $3.346 billion worldwide, despite getting mixed reviews from critics. The movie cast includes Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner, Kellan Lutz, Nikki Reed, Ashley Greene, and more.

Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan
Kristen Stewart played the character of human-turned-vampire Bella Swan. She first gained popularity by playing Jodie Foster’s daughter in The Panic Room. After the Twilight Saga, she acted in many films, including Camp X-Ray, Still Alice, Equals, and Clouds of Sils Maria.
She played the lead role in Charlie’s Angels (2019) and Happiest Season. She portrayed the character Diana Princess of Wales in Spencer, which earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress. She recently appeared in the film Love Lies Bleeding, and her upcoming projects are Love Me and Sacramento.
Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen
Robert Pattinson portrayed the role of a vampire, Edward Cullen, who falls in love with Bella. He acted in many films, including Cosmoplis, The Lost City of Z, High Life, and The Lighthouse. He appeared as Batman in the superhero film The Batman (2022) and was also part of Christopher Nolan’s Tenet (2020). His upcoming film is Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17.
Taylor Lautner as Jacob Black
Taylor Lautner appeared as Jacob Black, a warewolf, who loves Bella. Before landing Twilight, he acted in the films Cheaper by the Dozen 2 and The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D. He played the leading characters in the BBC’s Cuckoo and FOX’s Scream Queens.
He last appeared in the film Home Team (2022) and Taylor Swift’s music video for the song “I Can See You” (2023).
Kellan Lutz as Emmett Cullen
Kellan Lutz’ Emmett Cullen character was Edward’s adopted brother. He acted in the film Immortals and voiced the titular character in the animated film Tarzan. He landed the lead role in The Legend of Hercules (2014) and co-starred in the series FBI: Most Wanted.
Nikki Reed as Rosalie Cullen
Nikki Reed acted as Rosalie Cullen, wife of Emmett. Before landing Twilight, she appeared in the film Thirteen. Her other film credits include Pawn, Jack Goes Home, Balls Out, and In Your Eyes.
Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen
Ashley Greene played the clairvoyant vampire character Alice Cullen. She has been part of several films, including Wish I Was Here, Bombshell, Aftermath, and The Retirement Plan. Her upcoming movie is The Ritual.
Elizabeth Reaser as Esme Cullen
Elizabeth Reaser portrayed Edward’s adoptive mother, Esme Cullen. Her film works include Sweet Land, Stay, Young Adult, and The Family Stone. Her acting in Grey’s Anatomy earned her Emmy nominations. Her other series include Saved, The Good Wife, The Handmaid’s Tale, and The Haunting of Hill House.
