Wolf Hall, a great TV show, is returning for a new season! This time, it’s called “The Mirror and the Light,” and fans have waited eight years for this to happen. Many people liked the first season, which came out in 2015 and was about tricky politics from a long time ago called the Tudor era.
They’re telling us that the second season will start soon, and we can’t wait! There will be more of Thomas Cromwell, King Henry VIII, and all the other interesting people from the 1600s. It’s going to be great!
Let’s talk about what we know about this show’s return.
Wolf Hall Season 2 Release Date:
Good news, everyone! The BBC just told us that Wolf Hall Season 2 will begin. It will be called “The Mirror and the Light.” However, they didn’t say which day it would be released.
Let’s remember how the first season was put together. They said, “Hey, we’re making a show!” back in 2012. After that, they started filming it in the summer of 2014. In 2015, it was finally shown on BBC Two for everyone.
We think that Season 2 will be available on BBC One and BBC iPlayer either at the end of 2024 or the beginning of 2025. This is because they are about to start filming it. Don’t give up! Soon we’ll be back in Tudor times with our favorite characters!
Wolf Hall Series Storyline Overview:
This show is based on Hilary Mantel’s Tudor trilogy, which includes “Wolf Hall” and “Bring Up the Bodies.” In the 16th century, it gave viewers a vivid and immersive picture of life at the Tudor court. One of King Henry VIII’s most trusted advisors is a lawyer named Thomas Cromwell, who is at the center of the story.
Cromwell, who used to work for Cardinal Wolsey, wins the King’s favor by helping him get divorced from his first wife, Catherine of Aragon, and setting up his marriage to Anne Boleyn. On the other hand, Cromwell’s rise to power is full of political maneuvering and making strong enemies. The series also examines how England broke away from the Roman Catholic Church and how Anne Boleyn’s failure to have a child for the King led to her downfall.
Wolf Hall Season 2 Expected Plotlines:
The new season, “The Mirror and the Light,” will keep telling us about all the crazy things that happened in the Tudor era. It starts in 1536, right after they did something bad to Anne Boleyn (Season 1 will tell you what it was).
This is where things get interesting. There will be another wedding. This time, King Henry VIII married Jane Seymour. Also, guess what? After a long wait, a boy named Prince Edward will finally be born! They wanted a boy, so that’s a big deal.
📢 Wolf Hall is returning for a thrilling final act!

Hold on tight, though, because the royal court is about to get very exciting. Sneaky games will be played by people who want more power and will cause trouble. It will be hard for our main character, Thomas Cromwell, to keep things in order while all of this crazy stuff is going on.
In Wolf Hall Season 2, there will be more drama, kings and queens, and twists and turns. It’s going to be crazy!
