I’m delighted to share the latest announcement from the Orlando Magic organization—they have unveiled a new co-branded craft beer in partnership with Crooked Can Brewing Company, a local Central Florida brewery.
The new beverage, aptly named “The Sixth Man Lager,” will make its debut at the Magic’s home opener on Friday at the Kia Center. At the game, fans can try this collaborative craft beer first.
A Hometown Partnership
This new partnership between the Orlando Magic and Crooked Can Brewing Company represents an exciting milestone for the franchise, as it marks the team’s first-ever local craft beer deal.
“As the hometown beer of Orlando, we could not be more pleased to partner with the hometown team,” said Andy Sheeter, the founder of Crooked Can Brewing Company. “We are looking forward to a successful season and a long-lasting partnership.”
The Magic organization expressed equal enthusiasm about the collaboration with J.T. McWalters, the team’s Senior Vice President of Global Partnerships, stating, “As two organizations with Central Florida roots, we have a lot in common—pride for our community and a strong connection with our fans.”
Widespread availability and in-theater presence
In addition to being available at Crooked Can’s brewery in Winter Garden and select retailers across Central Florida, “The Sixth Man Lager” will also have a prominent presence within the Kia Center. Fans can look forward to finding the co-branded beer at a dedicated bar on the Club Level, as well as a branded cart on the Terrace Level.
This partnership not only offers fans a new and exciting way to enjoy the game-day experience, but it also highlights the Magic’s commitment to supporting local businesses and strengthening their ties with the Central Florida community.
Anticipation for the Season Ahead
As the Magic prepare for the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season, this craft beer partnership serves as a fun and engaging way to build momentum and excitement among the team’s loyal fanbase.
With the debut of “The Sixth Man Lager” coinciding with the home opener, the Magic are setting the stage for a season filled with high expectations and renewed energy. Fans can now toast to their hometown team as they embark on their quest for playoff success and, potentially, a championship run.
The Orlando Magic’s new partnership with Crooked Can Brewing Company is a testament to the team’s dedication to delivering unique and memorable experiences for their supporters. As the season unfolds, “The Sixth Man Lager” is sure to become a staple of the Magic game-day atmosphere, further strengthening the bond between the team and the vibrant Central Florida community.
